MOT Testing
DVSA approved Class 4 test bay. We test cars and light vans the way the regulations say they should be tested, no shortcuts. If you fail on something small we can usually sort it the same day and free retest within 10 working days.

Clutch Replacement
Most makes done in a day. We replace the clutch, release bearing and pilot bearing as a kit, and check the dual-mass flywheel for runout while we are in there. Quoted up front so you know the worst-case before we start.

Diagnostics
We read live data the way the main dealer does, on all major makes. Engine management, ABS, airbag, body control, CAN-bus comms. We trace the actual fault, not just guess at the code the cheap scanner threw up. Diagnostic time fee is offset against any repair we go on to do.

Do you offer a courtesy car?
Subject to availability, yes. Ask when you book and we will let you know what we have free for the day. If we cannot offer one, we can usually drop you home locally and collect you when the car is ready.
How much is an MOT?
The DVSA sets the maximum MOT fee at £54.85 for a Class 4 car. We charge £40 as standard. If your vehicle fails we offer a free retest within 10 working days, provided the repair is done with us.
Do you do air conditioning regas?
We do, on both standard R134a systems and the newer R1234yf gas used on cars from 2017 onwards. A regas takes around 45 minutes. We will also check for leaks before refilling rather than just topping up.
Are quotes binding?
Our written quote is the price you pay, provided the job is what we quoted for. If we open up a wheel and find something else needs doing we will stop, send you a photo and a revised quote, and only continue with your approval.
Can you service electric and hybrid vehicles?
Yes. Our technicians are trained on hybrid and EV systems. We work on regenerative braking, battery cooling, 12V auxiliary systems and high-voltage isolation. We do not do battery cell replacements but we can diagnose battery health and refer you on if needed.
My diesel keeps failing on emissions. Can you help?
Yes. We see this often on cars that mostly do short urban journeys. The fix is usually a forced regen on the DPF combined with a longer motorway run. We can also clean the EGR valve and replace the differential pressure sensor where needed. Quoted before work starts.
